Lightsmith lighting colors iso#
(sigh) Lately, I've been using ISO 800, TV mode, starting at about 1/60 in the beginning when we still have some light, and ending at about 1/250 by the end of the night. slow down the shutter speed and the action is blurry. speed up the shutter speed and its too dark. It's such a balancing act for me, and I'm constantly tweaking, the entire game. Wow, just great! I was going to ask for some action pics, and here they are. I fixed the photos so that clicking on them now brings up larger versions. Here's a link to a guy who has the camera that's the newest version of seems to have great high ISO performance. With less light and shooting at ISO 800, I suspect that your shutter speed is still too low for action shots. The larger the sensor, the less noise at high ISOs. The other thing is that I'm shooting a full-frame camera. The lighting definitely helps with the noise. I can't believe you didn't see me down there.
I actually spent the first half down on the field. I'm sure the BHS yearbook photographer would be envious and love to get copies!! :) Do you think its because we have about 1/10th the lighting? I'd really love to get clearer photos, and I have total field access so I'm right up close, but they are no where near as sharp as these. Much more than 800 ISO and the pics are so grainy. I've been taking photos (no where near as good) at my son's football game.
I should have known you were there because I saw Jenna on the field, but how is it I never saw you? We were sitting on the south end 40 yard line.
